The Aims of the Society:
These aims were carried out sucessfully and in 1993 the Society was approched to expand its register - thus leading to the inclusion of registers for Cremello, Perlino, Dun, and Buckskin as part of the Society's interests.
In 2004, we opened up the registry further to include Paints, Pintos, Roans and Appaloosas who have dilute colour as part of their base coat.
The NZ Golden Horse Society has held a National Show annually since 1996 and also holds two Open Ribbon Days at Kumeu and Ngatea.
We have classes for all but the new dilute Paint, Pinto, Roan and Appaloosa registry at the following A&P shows:
Northern Wairoa, Waitemata, Canterbury, Warkworth, Waikato, Manawatu, Clevedon, Cambridge, Whangarei, Te Kauwhata, Franklin, Helensville, Kumeu, The Auckland Royal Easter Show and the North Islands All Breeds In Hand Show.
We are always looking for ways to expand and grow, so who knows where we will go in the future.
